Transitioning from being at work to being Not at work
How do you transition from your shift to your personal life? Do you have something that you deliberately do? Or do you just go from one to the other? Are you on your phone from the minute you exit the building to the minute you arrive home? Or do you purposefully become aware that you are leaving one situation and arriving in a space of transition that will take you to your next place?
If you don’t do anything purposeful to let your body and mind know that you are transitioning from place to place, you may have trouble leaving work at work and home at home? If there is no deliberate act of leaving what happens in one place in that place, you will take it to the next.
